IASL and APASL Joint Presentation at APASL Istanbul 2026

The International Association for the Study of the Liver (IASL) and Asia Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL) were delighted to collaborate on a joint session at APASL Istanbul 2026, held on 24 April, focusing on The Natural History and Management of CHB Infection and Concurrent MASLD. Led by co‑chairs Dr. Yasuhito Tanaka and Dr. Ming‑Lung Yu, the session highlighted emerging insights and clinical considerations from distinguished IASL and APASL faculty.

The agenda featured four expert presentations:

  • How HBV and MASLD Interact to Influence Disease Progression-Jia‑Horng Kao, Taiwan

  • Mechanistic Pathways Connecting HBV and MASLD-Yasuhito Tanaka, Japan

  • Therapeutic Decision‑Making in Patients with Both HBV and MASLD-Ming‑Lung Yu, Taiwan

  • Optimizing HCC Surveillance and Applying Risk Scores-Diana Alcantara‑Payawal, Philippines

IASL and APASL look forward to a joint presentation at APASL STC Kumamoto 2026 in September.
